Little Buddha Bar Review
The wildly popular Paris nightspot Buddha Bar makes its debut in the United States in the form of Little Buddha at the Palms
hotel-casino.
The restaurant offers Pacific Rim cuisine along with traditional Chinese dishes.
Guests also can dine at an impressive sushi bar that is worth a look even if you're not inclined to indulge in sushi. It features a stream of water running down the center in true feng-shui fashion.
Not only is Little Buddha a great place to eat, it's also a great place to get a drink, too. Its opulent Asian-inspired decor makes it a sophisticated, relaxing place to enjoy a cocktail.
Drinks are reasonably priced from $6 to $8. Little Buddha offers a nice wine selection, a sampling of "beers of the world," and specialty drinks such as the Lotus, which is made from apple Schnapps, lemon juice and cranberry juice.
If you're feeling adventurous, try the Komodo Dragon, a blend of Bailey's, butterscotch Schnapps, Goldschlager, Jägermeister and cream, or the Fortune Cookie, a mix of Midori, Malibu rum, pineapple juice and cream.
Guests enter Little Buddha through a foyer that is filled from floor to ceiling with statues of Buddha. The restaurant's massive mahogany doors lead patrons to the eight-columned, domed main dining room, highlighted by two 10-foot-tall Buddha statues.
For patrons who want a little more peace and quiet, there is an airy back room and poolside dining available.
Buddha Bar Paris' popular musical compilations also are offered at Little Buddha at the Palms.
